just so y'all know...

...I haven't fallen off the face of the world. If I would have done that, it would've been last Friday. But it didn't happen. And I'm glad for that. And I'm sure you are too. Well, maybe not but anyways, I haven't forgotten about the Modest Fashion Challenge winners...or the next giveaway...or the Christmas post...or anything else. Honestly. I've been busy. I know, I know, that's a common excuse that we all use whether you like it or not, but it's true. I've been busy and I'm very sorry about that...for y'alls sake. Our computer decided to die Christmas Eve and that wasn't too cool, even though it was outside. And now I'm using a hard-to-use loaner laptop to write this to y'all and that's not that cool either..even though it is outside. So...I hope y'all had a very wonderful Christmas and that y'all will have a wonderful New Year.

Modest Fashion Winner // Snow Day

 Hey Y'all!

I have some exciting news! Today my Mom and I went through all the Modest Fashion Challenge entries and picked out the winners...

Let me tell ya, it was hard to pick each winner! You all did such a great job on each of your outfits and pictures! There are some who won more then one theme- and so you know, I never said you couldn't win more then one theme... :)

We picked each winner based upon how well their outfit went together, how modest it was and the over all apperence of the outfit and picture(s). Modesty, of course, was the biggest thing we looked at, so if your outfit(s) were more modest, then you'd have a greater chance at winning. Please don't take it badly if you didn't win anything at all; we didn't favor anybody over another person. Like I said above, it was based upon appearance, modesty and pictures.

I had much fun hosting this fashion challenge despite all the unplanned things that happened and the out of town trips we had to make. I hope y'all had a great and fun time doing this with me! :)
Thanks to everyone who took the time to enter! Y'all did an awesome job!

So now.... What y'all have been waiting for....
The are the winners of the Modest Fashion Challenge! :)

I will be posting the a winner each day because one post would be overpowering! First off today...

Snow Day // Theme 1

Crocheted Winter Headband w/detachable Flower.

Beyond The Chain has so sweetly sponsored this lovely knitted headband for this theme's winner! Isn't is so cute? I love it!

And now the young lady who best fit this category...

Miss Eden!

For a snow day... I normally gear up in my snow stuff for a day of fun in the snow with family!  :) So here's what I typically wear in the snow... I know... not very fashionable!  :P

We loved Eden's outfit because it, of course, best fit this theme! Don't you agree? It's perfect for a snow day- all geared up for the cold and snow! Don't worry Eden, my snow outfit looks really unfashionable! I think it looks cute, anyways.
Congratulations, Eden!

Last Call for Modest Fashion Challenge!

Hey Y'all!

Just wanted to let everyone know that this is your last chance to enter in the Modest Fashion Challenge! I could use a couple more entries for the last few themes-
Hunting, Christmas Time, Western/Country and Make Your Own Theme. If you get a chance to take some pictures in the morning/or have pictures that already fit that theme, feel free to email them to me here or blog with them. Thanks!

It will end tomorrow and then outfits will be judged based on the modesty, how well it fits the theme, ect. I will try to post winners Thursday morning! I hope y'all had fun doing this and I am so sorry it took so long to finish and how much it got interrupted! None of that extra stuff was planned, but not everything in life goes as planned, right? Again, I'm so sorry and I'm glad y'all still entered! All the outfits were amazing :)

Also, I want to say a big thank you to our Lord for letting us get home safely tonight. We've had snow the past week but it started melting then re-freezing so it was all ice on our 3 mile driveway.
We slid twice going out and once coming in, but now we are home safely and I'm very glad for that! Nobody likes ice, but it's what you get for living in the mountains and I wouldn't change that :)

Have a great night everyone!

winter time

I love Christmas and winter. It's a glorious time of year. Well, it's the second glorious time- summer comes first because it's really wonderful in my part of the country. I love the fires // The hot cocoa // The snow // The Christmas music // The lights // Jesus' birth // Boots and Warm Coats // Knitted headbands. All those things are wonderful. Very wonderful :)

And to all those who have summers you absolutely hate and the winter's you really don't have- I understand. Trust me, I do. I lived  most of my life in Phoenix, Arizona. I truly but sadly understand and I do feel really sorry for you. But now I've moved to a wonderful place with wonderful summers and glorious winters. And amazing friends and wonderful rivers and awesome hunting and small towns and beautfiul mountains and tons of 4-Wheelers and almost perfect weather and okay, I'll stop now :)

But I am so glad I don't live in the state that's "the closest place to hell" as we call it.  I'm very grateful for the time I lived there, the friends we had, the house we had and all those things, but truly, I'm in a much better place now :) I'm so grateful to the Lord for that!

Enjoy this winter and Christmas season y'all!
