Happy Thanksgiving!

What are you thankful for? How much do you really think about it? What does Thanksgiving really mean to you? Is it just about family and friends getting together eating food and watching football? The moms going through the newspaper for their shopping the next day?  Because that's not really what it's about. Thanksgiving is a time for family (and friends) to be together and be thankful for all the things they have in life.

It's a day about remembering the Pilgrims and their feast with the Indians. I remember last year our friends were going to come over.  They had to cancel due to some colds going around in their family. My whole family was bummed, but I was the most and I was more then bummed, I was really upset. But then I was thinking, I lots to be thankful for in my family, so instead of sitting around feeling sorry for myself, I need to look on the bright side of things.
There are lots of children who will not have any Thanksgiving today, there are children who don't  have a home or even their parents anymore. So, I need to be thankful for being able to have a home and still have a Thanksgiving with my family!

I'm thankful for some many things, the list could go on forever. Some things that I'm really thankful for is that I have a wonderful family and parents that teach me about the Lord. I'm thankful for sweet and faithful friends who build me up and encourage me, not friends that tear me down. I'm thankful for a warm house (especially on this cold day), food to eat, a church to go to,  and many more things! There saying, I do have a lot to be thankful for!

Happy Thanksgiving!
I do hope that y'all will have a wonderful, blessed day!  :)

Psalm 100
"Make a joyful noise unto the LORD, all ye lands. Serve the LORD with gladness: come before his presence with singing. Know ye that the LORD he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture. Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name. For the LORD is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all."
