Home Away From Home = Oregon

Nearing the end of August, we went to Oregon for about a week.  It was a very last-minute trip, decided we go the afternoon before the picnic!  But it was fun and so nice to see all our friends over there, newer and older ones.  The best part of the picnic was Mr. Dr. S.M. Davis' speaking!   He is one of my favorite speakers, so encouraging and powerful, while at the same time very laid back. (He tells hilarious stories, y'all)  The special music that many did was wonderful as well.  We have gone to the same picnic every year, this being our 4th.  Praise the Lord that the weather was beautiful!  In Oregon, you never know what it'll be like!

The next, Sunday, we went to church where we used to go.  It was absolutely gorgeous out that afternoon!  So after lunch at church, we played kickball (so fun!) and just hung out.

Friends for 10 years and forever. :)
See? He is much too cute for his own good!  (Kate from The Sacrament of Living)

It's become a 'tradition' to pick blueberries every August when we go to Oregon.  From the first visit, living there and now visiting again, it seems to just fall into August!  Let me tell ya, the blueberries there are sooo good.  Fell in love with them and never ate another store one again!  We freeze ours so we have them all winter as well as make some into jam.

There's the post for the first Oregon trip!  The next one from Labor Day and a giveaway coming soon...
